Hagwylt (Hag-wilt)

Hagwylt is a liquor that is made and produced in the Ragged Hag Tavern and Hagwylt Brewery in Griabridge. The formula and method for brewing the drink was created by Mirk Madrovus. Who brought it to her twin brother, Mottle. Together the two of them opened the Hagwylt Brewery. The herbs that make up Hagwylt are traded from the Firbolg tribe to the south in the Great Swamp. The ingredients are generally used for a religious ritual involving powerful visions from Kaleyha. The liquor is aged in barrels made from hollowed out but still living oak trees. This process distills the 'life blood' of the tree in it.

Bottle Design, Colour and Taste

The bottle is a jade coloured and in the shape of a goblin head. The colour of the liquor itself is that of a chlorophyllic green. The taste is similar in that to matcha tea with bergamot and creamy vanilla.

Properties and Uses

While Hagwylt is not hallucinogenic when it is made, it becomes so during the aging process. Generally, the first several doses send the drinker into a drunken hallucination-induced fury. Though the intoxication generally mitigates any genuine threat. Once a person has grown a tolerance to the drink its true nature starts to reveal itself. Many connoisseurs of the glass have described a euphoric sensation with the hallucinations giving way to what has been confirmed by members of the Horned Circle to be a limited form of “true sight” allowing one to gaze into multiple planes of existence.
