Kuuriks

Kuuriks are creatures of both this world and the Fey realms, as they pop in and out of them at a whim. Kuuriks were originally thought to pop in and out of existance instead of between the different realms. The Firbolg Clans in the Great Swamp see Kuuriks as an omen of good luck and they would be correct for they are associated with The Orchid of the Crossroads, a goddess prayed to for guidance and direction. They are known for guiding lost children out of forests and dangerous places and guiding those who seek the aid of the goddess on the right path towards their goals or dreams. Thought to have come originally from the Wyrd by the Kythan Dynasty, Kuuriks were rumored to bring the Wyrdlings to your door to steal your children. However once the Orchid showed herself, they're generally seen as a sign of good things to come in your lifetime.

Usually heralded by the sound of a bell, Kuuriks pop in from the Fey Realms in a cloud of glitter. They will not allow you to pet them unless you are what the Firbolg Clans refer to as a "Chosen One". Taking the form of maine coon cats with deer antlers and bits of colour-shifting fur, Kuuriks act as a sort of Will-o-wisp to those the Orchid sends them to. Hearing a bell and seeing an antlered cat is often a sign that you need guidance or direction. The Orchid of the Crossroads herself is rumored to be the mother of Kuuriks and takes the form of one herself. Not many have seen the bear-sized Kuurik and those that do are usually children who get lost in the forests of Myriad and Arixia. They tell stories of the large kuurik that let them ride on their back and lead them out of the forest to safety. However helpful Kuuriks are, they are best known for showering you in glitter as they pop into this realm and for stealing items from you to get you to follow them. There are many who refuse to accept their guidance who think Kuuriks are more of a pest than a mystical cat.
