Elemental Mutation

Elemental Mutatuon is one the greatest innovations from the great scientific minds of Ollizan. This process is divided into two separate techniques, fusion and fission. Fission happens by introducing a different kind of element to a pure elemental such as adding fire to air, theoretically you could create the third fusion of elements such as smoke. Fission is used to split a compound elemental in its two original parts. These processes can be used to make original elementals not found in the source environment. For example, an Ollizan artificer introduces an air elemental to a body of water forcefully via distillation to create an ice elemental, which can be split via Elemental Fissure and create a water elemental, not present in the original scenario. Often times Elemental Mutation is a violent and forceful action, physically altering the composition of elements is not a simple task. The original technique for fission involved vacuuming the air out of the swirling sand, and it was reported that shrieking was heard during the test. The scientists wrote that it sounded like howling wind escaping the flask. Many activists have protested against this source of power, declaring it as unethical and borderline slavery. Others dispute this argument by pointing to other sources of energy such as Phantastasis, and use the often low mental capacity of the used elementals to justify treating them as tools. Nevertheless, the exploitation of these beings power much of Ollizan's infrastructure.
