Dragonkin Enclave

The mind flayers capitalized on the Dragonkin's compatibility with their ship's architecture by enslaving multitudes of the remaining dragonkin. While some were only used for their blood, others were selected to power the vessel's engine. The mind flayers mapped these subjects' brains and transferred their entire person--thoughts, memories, cognitive ability, etc.--into a specially-created pocket dimension from which the collective brainpower could be accessed.   The resulting persona was an amalgamation of hundreds of Dragonkin of all types--metallic, chromatic, and dragonborn powered both by their cognition and dragonkin blood (stored in the engine room and funneled into the pocket-dimension acting as a catalyst). The mind flayers also leveraged the power of an Aasimar (Catchr) whom they had captured in another plane.   The Enclave was considered a demi-god by the Chultans who eventually stumbled upon them following the Crocodile King's sacrifice. As the years passed and the Chultan kingdom faded into obscurity, the dragonkin were once again put to work by their mind flayer masters, who reclaimed their vessel after patiently biding their time.   It is not known why the mind flayers did not strip the dragonkin of their personality/memories.
