Elemental Spirits

The polar opposite of Necro Spirits, elemental spirits are capable of controlling the elements of both the spirit world and the physical world, rather than living creatures as well as the shadows. It is thought that elemental spirits evolved from the righteous souls of people who have passed on and ascended to another plane of existence, and it would appear that, in the case of Izumi Kamuya, sister of Kairine Kamuya, that this theory would be correct.
In Sacrifice, Kairine's back is to the wall, as the towering ethereal dragon form of Verszagro stared her down, it's crimson eyes piercing straight into her soul. In this moment, Kairine literally felt that she would die, here and now, at the hands of the Apocalypse god. It is here, in her greatest time of need, that her sister, one whom has always been apprehensive around her, always had an attitude toward her, came to her rescue, sacrificing her own life to save Kairine. As Kairine is overcome by grief for her sister, suddenly a great spark of fire ignites before her, exploding directly in the face of the Apocalypse god. When Kairine looks up, she is astonished to see a flaming female figure floating between her and Verszagro. Izumi had transcended death and become an elemental spirit of fire.
There are a great many secrets surrounding the elemental spirits, even to the telepaths. In truth, we may never truly know what many secrets they hold. Could it be that they hold the secret to the origin of mystia itself?
Elementals also rather dislike being summoned, especially using seals. They can have a bit of an attitude if you summon one. Some have even been known to lash out at their summoners.
