Wyrmwood Islands

I really can't tell you how excited I am to visit after hearing your amazing stories of the Islands. I can hardly believe some of those plants and animals exist. A part of me feels certain you must have made them up. Are there truly cats the size of a large hound? And do the birds really talk back to you from the trees? I cannot wait to find out!

  • Geography

The Wormwood Islands are a tropical paradise in the lower half of the ocean Expanse between Flindreck and Eladrid. There are six of them, each varying in size and covered with a dense jungle. There are large rivers running through the center of the larger islands, as well as a few large lakes. The second largest island has a crater lake in the center, almost an inland sea, and the largest island has a mountain peak rising above the southern portion. There are beaches with white sand around much of the islands, broken periodically by stretches of shale or limestone, and large cliffs offering beautiful views of the ocean.

    Fauna & Flora

The jungles of Wyrmwood are filled with various strange plants and animals, as well as the normal variety of jungle life. Some plants are carnivorous, camouflaged hunters as dangerous as the predators wandering the jungles. Flowers range from tiny spots of color to giant, ten foot wide monster plants. Vines are covered in spines or woody protrusions, and undergrowth can get so dense it becomes hard to move in areas. The animals range from typical jungle predators and birds to the more strange and bizarre. There are tales of snake headed cats, two headed birds, giant bugs, and large, lizard-like creatures (dragons?) in the deep interior of the jungle.
