Duranta, the Stag God

Durantha, lord of the Eastern forests and god of nature, is the chief deity of the Kingdom of Arga. Once per generation, the Stag Lord of Arga must prove himself before Durantha to retain his title; should he fail, Durantha will determine a new Stag Lord. Modern scholars are divided on whether to classify the Stag God as a populous or primordial god, as records of his influence date to far before his followers had become fully civilized. The followers of Durantha in Arga are very insular in regards to their faith and politics, and if they possess any answers to the Stag Lord's nature, they do not speak of it.
