"To begin, let us discuss the human race. Having been one for a ripe forty-seven years myself, I can tell you that there are no certainties when discussing them. We are as diverse as the land itself. Spread across Mytkora, you will likely find one of us wherever you look. Before I regale you with my grand journeys across the world, it is critical that you understand I cannot tell you of what exactly humans are. Each one is different and wholly independent of the next. Thus, there will be no chapter covering them, as they can be found across them all." - An excerpt from "The Travels of Hafrick Moriarty"
Humans were the second race created by Kebis and the other participating gods. During their formation, there was much uncertainty and disagreement between the members of the pantheon. Each one had different ideas for what this race should be, and each one contributed to the final product in different ways. As a result, the race became the most ethnically, culturally, and geographically diverse race in all of Mytkora. They can be found anywhere, and are easily the most plentiful race despite their shorter-than-average lifespans. They usually fall between five and just over six feet tall and can weigh from 130 to 250 pounds, although there are some outliers who fall outside this range. Their skin can range from the fairest and palest to a dark ebony, and can have hair of all different colors and textures.
Different, But Together
There is kinship to be found with many humans, especially in settlements where they are the minority. They integrate well with other societies, often adapting to whatever culture or traditions of the village or city they find themselves in. They tend to feel left out, however, as it is not exactly
their culture they participate in. There is common ground to be found among the foreigners in this sense, and humans will frequently find friends in the more uncommon races in the area. They make for excellent diplomats and merchants because of their unique ability to relate with almost any organization or individual they come into contact with.
Chasing Legacy
Humans are not blind to their limited time on the planet. They know that if they want to make their mark in history, they have to work much harder than their peers with more longevity. Due to this, most humans are highly ambitious. Having a primary goal of a lasting impact can lead a human down many paths, however, which leads to some turning to a less legal lifestyle. Humans are often materialistic, though there are some who seek a more noble afterlife and will use their time on the planet attempting to live free of vices and wrongdoings.
