The Capital of the CSC Junta, the City of Koro, or Koro City, is a metropolis in Southern Arenia, located in the middle of the fertile river valley of the Rio Xi’mal Haw. Flanked by the dissected Plateaus of the Cortada to the North, and the Arenas Infinitas to the South, the despots of the CSC enjoy the security the geological barriers provide from nomads who would bite at any chance to raid their settlements. The city remains mostly intact from the Great War, spared from nuclear detonation and the worst of the fallout. With the exception being the south bank of the river being mostly abandoned save for scavengers and vagrant rejects by the CSC left to their own devices. The north bank being the preferred point of settlement to avoid raids, received the most post-war development, with villages and towns remaining preserved up along that side of the river giving CSC territory a relatively large rural population, especially around the City of Koro itself.
Koro City is a very verdant metropolis, with it's architecture and engineering stemming from an Ayain perspective of accommodating nature in it's urban design, rather than controlling it. With ancient trees that were brought from the Ayain Jungles of the first settlers 1000's of years ago in the center of neighborhoods. Much of the city is uplifted above the water line, where the river can run through large canals engineered millennia ago, creating lush waterways populated by a variety of plants and animals. Parts of the city were in fact classified as Bio-Reserves by the Imperial government on 1895 ISC, a policy that the CSC maintains to this day. The CSC maintains a police state in the city, the streets are regularly patrolled by Watchmen and Armed Police but are less intrusive into peoples private lives, relative to their counterparts, preferring to let residents come forward with complaints and suspicions. It's a very fortunate arrangement for the Cartel sponsored caravanserai that regularly visit the city from the south, who are rumored to use to their advantage and smuggle contraband in regular intervals.
