The port city of Guria is also known as Tamaia to Aredian speakers, is the southernmost major Charstani settlement at the mouth of the Awa Hiriwa and is just north of the Ainaltes Highlands. Guria serves as the capital for the Province of the Ainaltes, and is mostly built along the coast with an ancient stone wall facing the west towards the Apian mountains, called the Tamaia wall, leaving it fortified from any land based attack. The city stretches about 10 miles down the coast, while only being 3-4 miles wide at the most. Beyond the Tamaia wall, the city seems to be surrounded by rice fields where small villages and towns are dotted along the main roads into the hilly countryside.
During the CDP days, the patriots held a strict border policy with the Confederation that was just to the south, where just before they were ousted, the CDP closed their borders to the Confederation completely. Luckily for the Cartels, the revolutionaries that took over reopened their doors for trade, and Guria is now an important stop on the way to Porto Turra for traders from Ahau.
