The order was founded by women who were rescued by Saphrax to further her mission, their order halls are havens that provide respite and help to those in need. The veterans of the order are known as Muses, who have earned the highest esteem of their peers and, allegedly, their draconic matron.
The Night of Lanterns is a popular festival hosted by the Lights of Saphrax. It is a joyous celebration that falls on the 30th of Ylioka, the Autumn Equinox. The festival is celebrated across the continent by those who support her mission and is a teaching moment for younger generations. The core tradition of the Night of Lanterns is the lantern ceremony, where celebrants release floating lanterns into the sky. Over the evening, participants celebrate in a variety of ways as they see fit, expressing themselves through the arts, food, and small but meaningful gifts. Marriage ceremonies are also common on this night; couples ask for Saphrax’s blessing in the hope that the dragon’s serenity will extend to their life together.
