Vampirism
Of all the horrific and twisted cruses in existence Vampirism is undoubtedly the worst. Although the plague like disease has slightly diffrent effects on its host depending on how diluted the curse has become from host to host all Common Vampires share a deathly aversion to the sun, the inablity to produce their own blood, and a terrible aura that slowly kills any flora with its affect.
Hosts & Carriers
Only Humans can contract vampirism but while any human that survives a vampire's blood feeding will surely become one themsleves other creatures will either die or become a blood doll of the vampire that attacked them.
History
In the early days of humanity three brothers met a female Nymph while hiking through the forest. The youngest of the brothers took a liking to the Fae and chased her through the trees for sometime. His elder brothers followed close behind in an effort to stop him but in the end the three found themselves in the presence of the girl's adoptive father, an Archfae who angrily cursed all three men to live forever but never again enjoy the beauty of nature.
Cultural Reception
As their natural food source mortal races almost universally fear and hate vampires and many actively hunt them whenever possible.
