Will-o-Wisp
They are not malevolent creatures, the wisps, they simply do not understand the difference between living and dead. They do not kill because they are murderous, they are simply trying to share the endless peace of death with souls they perceive are troubled. They are doing their best to help me do my job, I am grateful to them and I have no intention of asking them to stop.Lesser Nymphs created by the Grim Reaper that have tended to the souls of the dead within The Underworld since the Age of the Elder Ones and when Styx's Awakening forced both Hades and The Grim Reaper into cationic hibernations the Will-o-Wisps took it upon themselves to guide the souls of mortals into the Sunless Lands even not every soul they shepherd is dead when they start the journey.- The Grim Reaper

Average Intelligence
Although they are ceritanly capable of communication and share the intelligence of an average ten year old Human Will-O-Wisps see the world very diffrently from mortal creatures. They do not understand language but rather read and apply meaning to diffrent emotions. Similarly wisps, as beings whose fvery nature trancedes the boarders of life and death, do not understand the diffrence between them or comprehened the permanence of death. This lack of understanding is ironically what makes them so dangerous as Will-O-Wisps will often try to lead souls they consider troubled into the realm of the deadso that they may find peace. These souls are often ghosts trapped in the [Mortal Realm but they are just as often simple heartbroken mortals, whose lives would otherwise be far from over.
The Eyes of the underworld
Despite the fact that they are harmless aside from thier habit of leading lost souls to their dealths, Will-O-Wisps have other uses. The lord Hades often uses them as spys in the other realms. This has lead the Will-O-Wisps to be known as The Eyes of the Underworld.
