Aarsil is the de-facto Imperial leader of Oplio province, a genius administrator who rose through the Thematon the long way. They put themselves through the Lyceus on their own, and climbed the ranks of the bureaucracy at startling speed, deftly and quietly playing the vicious office politics of the Thematon. Aarsil never resorted to underhanded methods, their own nearly pathological integrity and compuslive desire for meticulous perfection demanded it, but they had no problems subtly provoking others into such actions. They also had no qualms in revealing their deeds with a well timed audit. The thematon Aarsil believes in, after all, has no room for skulldyggery. Merely perfect paperwork and sheets of numbers, all arranged like a pristine children's legio toy.
Aarsil was personally commended by the empress to their position for their exceptional performance. The province will be the shining jewel of the thematon, and operate with the smoothness that other Sakellarioi will not even dream of. Aarsil cannot allow it any other way.
