Kalashtar

The Kalashtar are a compound species created from the hybridization of humanity and excess souls forged into a unique psionically gifted being. Kalashtar are often conflicter by the souls that reside within, shifting their destinies in an internal tug of war.
Every kalashtar has a connection to an additional soul, a bond shared by other members of their bloodline. Kalashtar appear human, but their spiritual connection affects them in a variety of ways. Kalashtar have symmetrical, slightly angular features, and their eyes often glow when they are focused or expressing strong emotions.
Kalashtar can’t directly access the raw energy granted from this presence. Rather, they might experience this relationship as a sense of instinct and inspiration, drawing on the memories of the soul when they dream. This connection grants kalashtar minor psionic abilities, as well as protection from psychic attacks. All of these souls are fragments of their old selves, but some display various emotional influences. Typically, a Kalashtar knows the name and nature of their soul, but some may know nothing of their soul or the source of their psychic gifts, such as an orphan Kalashtar raised among strangers.
They resemble humans in many ways. Physically they can be identified by their albinism. Every Kalashtar possesses pale white hair, with warm skin giving off the impression of a reddish color.
