Pixie

The mischievous and small pixie are a race of lesser fey that hail from the fey wild. These beings are filled with life, and a love of pranks. In appearance they look like elves, only they reach heights of only about half as much. In addition they sport insectile wings of all varieties, a trait that helps identify the base personality of these chaotic beings. Pixie hair color is vast, and random. That said it often aligns with the color residue of their spell casting. 
For beings of unpredictable joy and chaos, they are set in with strange limiting rules, built around contracts with the more prominent Fey of their home plane. Most pixie are scouts and spies sent to Na'Endreth to protect the boundaries between the planes, and keep the Gith colonists, as well as their creations as ignorant as possible to the secrets they keep.
Pixie evolved naturally in the fey wild, when wandering insects made pacts clans of elves to trade their bodies with one another. This trade had the unintended side effects of blending their bloodlines together.
