Primordial Dragons
In the time before gods or mortal races, the Primordial Dragons crafted Nadmir from the Chaos-Matter in which they endlessly swam. They gained the attention of the Elder Gods, who saw the world they’d created and coveted it for themselves. In the War of the Gods, before recorded history, the Primordial Dragons created the New Gods of Nadmir to fight for them against the Elder Gods - a war which the Primordials and the New Gods won.
Prior to the War of the Gods, though, there was the Dragon War, which began in time immemorial and continues to this day, wherein the Primordial Metallic Dragons, traditionally defenders of that which is good and righteous and lawful in the world, and the Primordial Chromatic Dragons, those who sow seeds of evil and chaos, fight, and have fought, for the fate of Nadmir.
