Thousands of years before the creation of the New Gods, the Elves began to build their civilization in the northeast. As they excelled in academic and scientific achievment, they began to ask questions about what came before them, what the meaning of their existence was, and what would remain after they were gone.
For answers, they looked to the stars.
There are eight signs in the Elven zodiak, which were associated both with the four elements and with the four seasons of Nadmir. Rituals and festivals arose around these markers, and the Elven religion was born.
The Bulwark
The Bulwark is associated with the first half of spring. The Bulwark's domain is law, hardship, poverty, and famine.
The Steed
The Steed is associated with the second half of spring. The Steed's domain is travel, burdens, sowing, and good luck.
The Dragon
The Dragon is associated with the first half of summer. The Dragon's domain is magic, mystery, secrets, and wealth.
The Archer
The Archer is associated with the second half of summer. The Archer's domain is war, the hunt, hierarchy, and responsibility.
The Dancer
The Dancer is associated with the first half of autumn. The Dancer's domain is music, free thought, anarchy, and love.
The Thistle
The Thistle is associated with the second half of autumn. The Thistle's domain is the harvest, bounty, wine, and storms.
The Serpent
The Serpent is associated with the first half of winter. The Serpent's domain is politics, drought, moneylending, and assassins.
The Chalice
The Chalice sits in the northern sky, and is associated with the second half of winter. The Chalice's domain is wealth, feasting, secrets, and death.
