Rock Griffins are the smaller breed of Griffins built for more open plains and forests rather than mountains.

Anatomy
The Beast has 4 limbs two-winged frontal limbs and two back legs. On the elbow to the wings are two claws
Biological Traits
The most noticeable trait about the Griffin is the Large wings that double as front legs. These wings have a 25ft wingspan
Genetics and Reproduction
The Rock Griffin has a dominance hierarchy for the purpose of choosing who gets to mate the best females. While they are solitary creatures they do meet up once in their lives, with other Griffins of course, in order to find a mate and challenge males
Ecology and Habitats
The optimal environment is an open plain or thinly covered forest.
Dietary Needs and Habits
It usually hunts livestock if it lives near towns or farms but will eat almost anything that has bones because they tend to want the bone marrow of animals more than the meat. Though they will not turn down meats if given the option.
Biological Cycle
Beginning at age 3 they are ready to reproduce and hunt. Though they may not choose to mate till around age 15 they are fully capable of breeding and producing offspring.
