Effect

Call lightning calls a magical storm to the caster's will, appearing at any point above them they choose within a sixty foot radius. Upon the gathering of storm clouds, a bolt of lightning cracks down on a target of the caster's choice. The strength of the bolt only grows with the caster's skill, and when cast at higher levels, call lightning only becomes more powerful.
When the spell is cast outside in stormy weather, the caster gains control of the current storm rather than creating a new one, which only increases the potency of the lightning.

Side/Secondary Effects

As the bolt from call lightning is incredibly potent, those who survive it will sometimes report lingering scars following the attack, centering on the point of the strike and crawling over the body in sharp, jagged patterns.

Manifestation

At its casting, the spell call lightning is cast in druidic. Wherever the spell is cast, the sky will darken and rain will fall as the storm clouds gather, as a cold gust of wind cuts through the air.
