Effect

The caster utters foul, infernal words, summoning demons from the chaos of the Abyss.The caster has little power over which demons are called, but these demons can range anywhere from abyssal chickens to cacklers to maw demons or quasits.The caster can choose any space within range to call the demons to, but summoned demons are hostile to all creatures, including the caster, and will pursue and attack the nearest non-demon to the best of their ability.
If the spell is cast using blood as a material component, the caster can draw a circle on the ground with the blood as part of the casting large enough to encompass their space, and while the spell lasts, the summoned demons cannot cross the circle or harm anyone within it. If the blood is used in this way, then it is consumed when the spell ends.

Manifestation

Rather than being cast in draconic like most spells, the spell summon lesser demons is cast in infernal.

A vial of blood from a humanoid killed in the last 24 hours OR an arcane focus
