Exhuma (Ex-yoom-ah)
An exhuma is a magical object used to store the soul of a Lich, also known as soul vessels, anima, and other names. They may also be used to store a fraction of a soul, rather than its entirety.
Much as the transformation to a lich is a unique path for each individual, each exhuma is unique. Depending on the skill of the lich who created it, they could be very fragile creations, or layered with powerful magics that ward off their destruction. Most liches, however, are aware when their exhuma is being damaged.
