Nedwae

Nedwae is the title given to a mentor among the cult of The Pale. Tradition only dictates that ones mentee must include their title, many other members will use the term as a sign of respect.
A nedwae's role is to guide their disciple's growth and self-betterment, as well as aid them on any quest to achieve undeath or immortality. It is expected that a nedwae will be brutally honest with their disciple - crushing their disciple's pride is often one of their first goals upon taking a new disciple.
Qualifications
A disciple seeks their own nedwae and asks to be taught. It is a very individualistic endeavor, and members of The Pale are encouraged to find the mentor who is best suited to help them overcome their flaws, rather than simply the most renowned.
A nedwae may have multiple disciples, but most keep the number quite low. Most disciples will have numerous nedwae throughout their life (or undeath).
