The Deposed King
The Deposed King was a pirate vessel active off the eastern coast of Aisoa and in the Dragonsbreath Isles for about two decades starting in 3836EC. It is unclear whether the captain was killed or the boat sunk, but confirmed sightings ceased in about 3851, and stories of the ship took on a more mythical bent.
Tales about the Deposed King say that the ship itself became imbued with the magic of the vast treasures it carried. With this magic, it was undefeated on the open seas and its aging captain, unwilling to end his career, plunged the Deposed King into the sea. Its crew and captain were killed and raised as ghosts that pilot the ship to this day.
It is said that the Deposed King surfaces to test the mettle of would-be pirate kings.
