The Eye Dealer

The elven woman stepped forward and gestured me to follow her. "The Dealer always enjoys having guests, and there are only a few simple rules. First, anything taken from the Dealer's den must be traded for. Second, the Dealer resembles a household cat - if you wish it, you may pet it, pick it up, or sit with it. Please do not touch its feet. Thirdly, and importantly, please do not touch the eyes on the wall."
The Eye Dealer is an odd creature that lives in the Grand Hollow. Some say it is a demon, others claim it is a minor god. Whatever it may be, it has lived in the city for as long as the city has been around, and it has always acted as a merchant with the most obscure things in stock.

Physical Description

Identifying Characteristics

The Eye Dealer resembles a mundane cat with long stark white fur, regal in its bearing, average in size. However, instead of a normal face, it has only a single giant yellow eye - though the color and shape is said to have changed in the past. It has no mouth, or whiskers.   When the Eye Dealer speaks, its voice seems to come from where a mouth would be - a light, delicate voice of bored disinterest.

Eye Dealer's Den

The Eye Dealer's shop is also unique, and has relocated to different storefronts around the city on a number of occasions. The shop interior is general of high quality thanks to the dealer's numerous patrons, but serves only to hold the entrance to the Dealer's true home, a small pocket dimension whose entrance is a grand old clock.   Inside their den, their exists a room of innumerable eyes placed in carved sockets in the walls. Each seems to be still alive, sometimes blinking, crying, and watching as visitors go past. Some are of great beasts, dragons, and angels, while others are simple human eyes, and even a few normal cat eyes as well.

Personality Characteristics

Personality Quirks

The Eye Dealer has many of the mannerisms of the mundane cats it resembles, often acting as if it were simply a strange looking cat, even as it holds a conversation. Rubbing against visitor's legs, sitting on high shelves and following fast moving objects with interest. It does not like when people touch its paws.   It almost exclusively speaks with a level, bored tone, speaking only in statements and asking no questions. The only time it seems to break this verbal style is when inquiring about eyes, and whether they are for sale. It asks almost every person who enters its den.
