Ogres
The Ogres are known to most people of the Empire as large brutish creatures that cannot be reasoned with and destroy or kill anything and anyone in their path. Ogres have a terrifying reputation in the northern reaches of the Belrose Province, as they are known to attack villages and small towns with little warning, and travel quickly. Their attacks are thought to be mindless and savage, like beasts of wanton slaughter, no better than Demons or Gnolls, except larger. For the most part, they are correct. Ogres often live in large groups, and they also very often join up with other creatures such as Orcs, Goblins or Minotaurs, and they often join them in worship of their Gods.
Ogres are some of the deadliest creatures found on the Material Plane, because of their brute strength, which is enough to tear a man in half, but also because of their high level of societal organization. While creatures such as the Hill Giants are much more deadly individually, the maximum number of a tribe of Hill Giants are two dozen or so, while a large tribe of ogres in favourable condition can number in the hundreds. Ogres reproduce at a similar speed to humans, which for creatures of their size and power, is very fast, as even an ogre child can easily kill a grown human. While famously stupid, they are also arrogant and bloodthirsty, and they always bully those they view as weaker than them. For Imperial scholars, especially those of the Arcanic Order that study the different species of Giants, the Ogres are a very interesting species to study.
Even with the Ogres, the Giants were still decimated during the Holy Crusade, and as their social structure shattered, each type of Giant fled to make their own societies, away from the Gods and their Children. The Ogres, unable to live deep underground, in the clouds, oceans, or the most dangerous places in the world, made camp in the forests and plains of the world. There they interacted with the followers of Gruumsh, Asmodeus and others, and some of them were even incorporated into those societies, but were still mostly viewed as outsiders.
As with the other Giants, they managed to stay outside the conflict during the Schism, but managed to use Angeldeath, the Calamity War to their advantage. When the hordes of demons rampaged through the lands, the Ogres showed their adaptability, by joining the invaders. Ogres enjoyed positions of power alongside the most brutish demons, as their size and strength helped them excel. As a race forged in war, they enjoyed the time of slaughter, and when the demons grip of the world loosened, they broke their shackles and rejoiced in the slaughter.
In modern times, Ogres make their camps on the outskirts of civilisation, and look for undefended villages and herds, where they can sate their hunger for slaughter and fresh meat. Not being picky between fair and unfair battles, Ogres are not smart enough to move on quickly, and tend to rampage in one location. This makes it easier for the Empire to organize their forces, and many tactics have been invented to deal with Ogres, such as the Spear Phalanx, and employing large groups of archers. By themselves, Ogres do not pose a significant threat to organized parts of the Empire, that are under the protection of the Empire Nobility. The promise of battle however is often good to convince them to join another force, so many of them can be found with Minotaurs in the Wicked Pass, or with Greenskin Gruumsh Clans.
As the Ogres are not Mortals, but Giants, it is not certain if their worship grants entities any power at all, or if they are even recognizable to divine entities as their worshippers. That does not deter the Ogres however, who may often view their own successes, or random chance, as being given from their patrons.

History
For a species of Giants, the Ogres are remarkably different from even their closest relatives, the Hill Giants. This is because the Ogres were not part of the Material Plane before the Holy Crusade, when the Gods descended upon the world. They were created by the leaders of the Giant societies, for the purpose of battling the armies of Celestials that served the Gods. The exact process of their creation is not known, however, due to how often they can be found worshipping other gods, Demons or Devils, many Imperial scholars believe that there may have been Demonic magics involved.Even with the Ogres, the Giants were still decimated during the Holy Crusade, and as their social structure shattered, each type of Giant fled to make their own societies, away from the Gods and their Children. Psychology
It is generally understood that Ogres, while simple-minded and brutish, have a subconscious need for authority and structure. They usually prefer being at the top, and bullying the ones bellow them, but they have no qualms about being servants of a God or Demon, as long as they are part of a structure. They can often be found performing rituals to different entities in exchange for perceived power or favor, but more often than not, the Ogres prayers are met with disinterest. As the Ogres are not Mortals, but Giants, it is not certain if their worship grants entities any power at all, or if they are even recognizable to divine entities as their worshippers.
