Owcestrado, The City of Pits

As you approach the city, you see the impressive, for Valbrunei at least, walls that surround it. Thick fog presses up against them, as if trying to find a way inside. The dirt road ends at a set of sturdy iron gates with a pair of shadowy figures manning the walls above them. Planted on the ground flanking the road outside the gates are pikes with animal heads, mainly wolves, impaled on them.

The city itself is tightly packed with houses that desperately need maintenance. Most streets feel cramped, and claustrophobic, as the walls surround you, and people walk uncomfortably close to one-another, in the crowded streets. The only notable landmarks are four large pits on the outer perimeter of the city, the large Colosseum at its center, and the stone castle that is home to the burgomaster.
The fights at the pits are daily, and they take the role of public entertainment for the most part. Once every two weeks however, the Colosseum opens its doors to the public to watch a spectacular event of beasts, skilled warriors and slaves fighting to the death.

Locations of Interest:

Colosseum: Large arena, used for vampire gatherings when neutral ground is necessary. Once every two weeks it is open to the public for impressive shows of beasts, champions and slaughtered slaves.

Broken Fist Inn: One of the most reputable inns that travelers can stay in, but a bit more expensive than normal. The innkeeper is a cousin of Francheska, the owner of the Northern Pit.

Northern Pit: Specializes in warriors and weapons, the owner is Francheska, its fame is high, and the criminal connections to there are low.

Eastern Pit: Doesn't specialize in anything, the owner is Ertron Vatrion, its fame level is low and it very rarely holds fights as it is facing many economical problems.

Southern Pit: Specializes in slaves, the owner is a man called Cleaver, the fame level is medium and there are a lot of criminals connected to it. It is also known that large quantities of money travel through it.

Western Pit: Specializes in battles to the death, or otherwise bloody events, the owner goes by the name Adrovan. Its fame is medium level, but there is a very hardcore base built around it that is fanatical about their bloody events.
