Garnet

The heat of that town is it's heart. That planar forge is damn valuable, just a shame the people of Peridot can only use it to a fraction of its potential.
  • Theriatis Xenolich, one of Thornden's rulers, reflects on the position of Garnet in Kaechaek.
The town of Garnet is the largest and most impressive barony belonging to Peridot in their residence of Kaechaek, the space is filled with armed guards, travel, adventurers and mercenaries. It is also the source of extreme tense friction between Peridot and Kaechaek.   For Peridot decided to build Garnet around a Planar Forge specifically linked to the Quori and they now use this forge in the creation of many weapons, armour and materials to help them build Garnet and, furthermore, increase their own wealth and influence. The Planar forges are large strange mines and dungeons that link directly to either the Nocta Mori or the Quori and contain materials infused with these realms of dreams that can be baked in the heat of the space for a unique and interesting method of blacksmithing and creation of items. Because of this, many planar forges act as deeply difficult and dangerous spaces whilst mixing with the strange magics of the planes of dreams and nightmares, they also act as deeply important cultural spaces for worship and landmarks of an adventurers time in Kaechaek  To say that Peridot building the runic powered train mining town of Garnet directly on top of one of these rare forges was controversial is to wildly understate just how enraged many of the more hot blooded Barony's of Kaechaek have become, including notably the Wheel, who have declared war on Garnet and said none will survive the assault. However, the risk seems worth the reward as Peridot dig deeper and deeper into Garnet and regularly hire experienced Hunter's and tough mercenaries to clear out layers of the Planar Forges to find more and more smithing materials below.   Garnet is notably an area of the Quori and so many do not remain there for long, deeply afraid of the sweet, slumbering delusions that rob the ambition and desire of those who are not prepared and wary.
