Peridotan

The industrious, intelligent people from Peridot pride themselves on mercantile skill, being able to travel long distances and their tenacity... they come from a small land but you'll be hard pressed to find someone who doesn't view Peridot with a mix of distaste, respect or even (in the case of the people of Nomtai) reliance.
Peridot's primary source of wealth is their ability to extract and purify raw runic energy to turn them into runic shards... sources of pure raw runic power, this is used to power almost everything in Peridot and the surrounding lands as well as their magic items and skyships... Their reliance on the energy formed by the God-Magi centuries ago has made the country incredibly wealthy.
Though, the madness that permeates those in constant use of runic shards is impossible to keep quiet and most of Namarie know what became of the marine area around Peridot and the south of the country where they so thickly covered by runic energy that they have been driven to madness.
People of Peridot are generally inventors or academics in most ways and generally have more pale complexions due to the climate of the country whilst having lithe builds and slightly lanky features.
