Forge of the Stone Shaper

The Forge of the Stone Shaper is a massive temple and forge found in the heart of Marklund. Areas of this building are dug into the mountainside, specifically the forge area within. This temple is dedicated to Armok and is the largest religious centre for the dwarven god in Astora.
The Forge of the Stone Shaper, apart from being a temple to Armok, is also one of the largest forges in the country. The forge's blacksmiths are amongst the most skilled and knowledgable in their craft. They typically work in forging items of spiritual importance, such as arcane focuses, but also occasionally work on armour and artifacts of great splendour.

History

Shaped from the Mountain

The Forge of the Stone Shaper was one of the first buildings constructed in Marklund. Portions of the forge were likely built during the Age of Mists, when the dwarves of Marklund remained in sanctuary beneath the Vilmyr Mountains. After the subsiding of the mists, the Forge was among the first areas of Marklund completed by the dwarves. Many say the Forge itself was the project of many dwarves under the influence of Armok's Fever simultaneously.
