The Lamplight Inn is a small tavern and rest stop found on the southern section of the Astoran Road. It is one of the only notable locations found on the long forest path between The Crossroads and Weathersby. Because of this, and despite its small size, The Lamplight Inn is quite popular among travellers making the journey through the Ironwood Forest.

Layout

The Lamplight Inn consists of a downstairs tavern and a second story with several sleeping quarters. The exterior is mostly shrouded by the overhanging tree growth, though there is room enough for a very small stable.

History

The Inn was built in AoR 564 by a group of travellers looking for a more permanent resting area whilst traversing the Ironwood Forest. The inn grounds first consisted of nothing more than a campsite. A large area was cleared for tents and an area for nightly bonfires. After a couple of years, the tavern and inn itself would be constructed. By AoR 567, the tavern was purchased by the town of Weathersby which subsequently entrusted the running of the establishment to one of the families that had originally seen it built.
