Gnashing Blossom

Whereas the rest of the Black Forest is a lifeless waste of gnarled and blackened trees, the rancid slurry that blankets the Gutmire acts as bountiful soil for all kinds of unnatural life.
Springing from the flesh-soup like long, spindly fingers topped with flowers of wicked teeth, Gnashing Blossoms are vicious flora endemic to the Gutmire.

Appearance and Traits

Gnashing Blossoms resemble the much more benign lotuses found in the clear waters of the oasis' located in the outskirts of the Varlem Desert, with broad black petals that taper towards the tip. Surrounding the circular seed pod at the end of the stem are sharp protrusions of osseous material that strongly resemble teeth, complete with gum-like fleshy tissue connecting them to the base of the petals.
When something stimulates the seed pod, the petals close tightly, the teeth-like protrusions "biting" down on whatever made contact with the pod. This contraction is swift and strong enough to cleanly sever fingers and even the entire hand of a careless handler. The fluids released from such a feeding are drained into the stem through ductules located near the base of the pod.
The seed pod itself consists of individual seed chambers, each containing a singular "seed" which, judging by all appearances, is a human molar.
Planting these tooth-seeds does not seem to sprout new Gnashing Blossoms, which is cause for confusion as to why the plant produces them. If it indeed does produce them, and doesn't simply suck the teeth up when sifting through the meaty broth with its roots.

Spread

Gnashing Blossoms are found exclusively within the Gutmire, and attempts to cultivate the plants elsewhere have been met with wilting failure. It is widely believed that the plants require the unique nutrition provided by the Gutmire's slime-like loam to survive.
They're beautiful in their own way, are they not?
  Better not touch them, though.
