Thuule, God of Shadows (Thool)
God of Shadows Thuule (a.k.a. The Midnight Rider)
Old God of Darkness, Shadows, and Night
Typically depicted as a pitch-black mare that races across the sky, bringing with it the darkness of night each day. It is theorized to exist in a never-ending chase with Ohm, God of Light. It has never been confirmed who is chasing whom, however.
Stories are also told of Thuule occasionally touching down and taking the form of a Black Rider on certain nights, especially during one or more eclipses. In which case, he is still seen riding a dark mare. Some believe the horse is Thuule, carrying souls away to the afterlife atop his back. Others say the Black Rider is Thuule's true form, but is simply only visible in total darkness.
