Hauig, the Surging Inferno ([haɨ̯g])
Hauig (Hii-guh) is the mythical first dragon, who is believed to have formed in the molten core of Nataya itself in prehistory, before he tore through the crust. He then flew up through what would later become known as the Beru Sea, because the primordial flame that encircled him was so hot that it boiled the water itself.
As Hauig flew, several scales scattered to Dunja, and from them grew the very first dragons.
Hauig flew up, and up, until they broke through the clouds, through the atmosphere, and into the sun itself, which flared white-silver for days. Legend has it that he is still battling [sun god] in the core of the sun itself. If he wins, he may become a god himself and, no one knows if he will be content to stay coiled within, bathing Nataya in his newly divine radiance, or if he will hunger for the planet itself, reaching out with his massive firey maw to devour the world.
