Maerteb birds (My-ar-teb)

Maerteb birds are large grey birds with wingspans of 8ft or more, and piercing yellow-green eyes. They are closely linked to the goddess Tektre in myth and legend, and her avatars are known to take their form sometimes. Images of these birds can often be found in her temples.
