Towoosh Ironbite
Towoosh's name comes from the Egyptian Arabic word for peacock, طاووس.
Towoosh was a leader of the rebellion in Nisr that ultimately led to the city freeing itself of the Empire of the Kolloh Twins in 245 ET. He was instrumental in defeating the military presence on Nisr, so that the city could escape. He died of injuries sustained during the rebellion shortly afterwards, and after the city's escape, the remnant's of the rebellion's leadership attempted to use him as a unifying symbol, and a way to secure their own rule over the city.
Unfortunately for the remnants of the rebellion, in 247 ET, several soldiers came forward and disputed the heroic image of Towoosh. They claimed to have witnessed Towoosh facing a hostage situation, where a number of empire soldiers had captured several dozen civillians, and were demanding free passage off the city in exchange for their freedom. Towoosh coldly ordered the building to be destroyed, killing everyone inside, instead of letting the soldiers escape. Witnesses were initially too afraid to come forward, since Towoosh still had powerful friends in Nisr. But eventually they couldn't take seeing the man being lauded as a hero anymore.
The remnants of the rebellion's leadership were reluctant to even consider the possiblity of this, but they couldn't stop others investigating, and it was eventually proven to be true. This damaged people's faith in the original rebels, and caused them to lose power and influence in the rebuilding society.
