Zahr

Zahr is a continent of Nataya that formed during the The First Great Turbulence and continued to exist through to the @Second. The climate is generally hot and arid, and it contains a number of deserts. Many settlements are located around the rich rivers that run through the continent, where farming is easiest. Most of the plantlife is also richest around these rivers, through there are exceptions.
Where the ground makes it possible, some have built settlements underground to avoid dealing with the extreme heat that's present for much of the year.
The name comes from the Arabic word for a flower, and also a dice.
