Merton Guard Barracks

History

Inside

As visitors enter the barracks, they are greeted by the sight of soldiers hurrying to and fro, clad in chain mail armor and carrying weapons of all shapes and sizes. The walls are adorned with banners and flags bearing the emblem of the Tollason Family, and the air is thick with the scent of sweat and leather.
The main barracks building is a large, open space with a series of wooden bunks and cots lining the walls. Each bed is piled high with blankets and furs, and there are small chests and lockers at the foot of each one for storing personal belongings. The floor is hard-packed dirt, and there are torches and lanterns hanging from the walls to provide light.
