Schools of the Steel Heart

The five schools of the Steel Heart are named for five major functions of the heart. These schools are the premiere series of schools for anyone with the ambition to serve in law in the Cluster to attend. Originally all located inside of Stone Harbor, the schools are now scattered across the planet to accommodate the growing number of attendants over the years.

Schola Murorum

In Stone Harbor, the original building that once housed all of the Schools is the current home of the Schola Murorum or the School of Walls. Those who attend the Murorum focus on the study of the law and many graduates become lawyers unless they shift into another Schola.

The school building itself is built in the middle of Stone Harbor and is a large, multi-story building. It is well known as having been started using a section of one of the original ships that came from Old Terra, the Sojourner.

Schola Cubicularia

On the shoreline of the city of Ship's Haven, the Schola Cubicularia (or School of Chambers) is a large stone building built from stone quarried on Lxile. All who attend the Cubicularia focus on the study of policing and graduates tend to become police officers or detectives.

Schola Conductionis

The city of Aramore is known for two things: its bountiful orchards and the Schola Conductionis. Conductionis, or the School of Conduction, is the place where those wishing to focus on the control of animals or people will potentially graduate to become members of animal control or prison guards. The building itself is a mix of Lxile quarried stone and steel from the Sojourner.

Schola Vasorum

Along the crest of Knife Ridge in the Corsair mountain range is the city of Knife's Edge. While newer buildings are made of wood, stone, or steel, the original buildings of the city were carved into the very stone of the mountain. This includes the Schola Vasorum or School of Vessels, which focuses on all the details of investigation. Those that graduate from this School generally go into jobs involving forensics.

Schola Valvulae

In the city of Black Hallows, nestled amongst rolling hills of black grass and fields that grow black fruits and vegetables for unknown reasons, is the Schola Valvulae or the School of Valves. Those who attend the School focus on controlling and combating natural forces and generally graduate to become firefighters.
