Lanthnen
Once a small village to the east of Port Etela, Lanthnen has grown considerably over the past few decades after becoming part of the Empire of Galdor.
Today, Lanthnen is best known for its high quality honey-wines that are popular throughout the empire.
Demographics
Nearly everyone in the region is a farmer, a brewer, or of a profession that supports the farming and brewing industries.
Government
A small council of merchant-brewers controls most of the decisions of the town. The town is technically subject to the rule of the Governor of Port Etela, though the merchant council has amassed a substantial amount of influence and this combination of influence and physical distance was resulted in a largely independent region.
Tourism
As the popularity of Lanthnen wines has increased throughout the empire, so too has the desire to visit the lands that these wines originated from. Particularly in the past decade as infastructure between Lanthnen and Port Etela has become more sophisticated, it has become easier to travel to the small town. There are several inns now functioning, some with complete packages including tasting menus and tours of the wildflower fields and breweries.
Geography
Located in flatlands of a valley beteen the Etelan mountains to the west, and a hilly region to the east.
Natural Resources
The lands surrounding Lanthnen are naturally sparse on trees, but plentiful in grasses, herbs, and particularly wildflowers. It's these wildflowers that create such great honey.
