Damocles Featherwhite

Court Mage (a.k.a. The Phoenix)

Damocles was a always a gifted one. His passion for magic showed from a young age. Following his father's steps he joined Brightcaster academy when he was twelve. He quickly rose to the upper ranks of the academy, but this was insufficient for him.

At the age of sixteen he surprised the whole academy with his research in ancient magic that leaded him to uncover secrets of this old magic, taping into new highs. This was an amazing breakthrough, but he quickly grew bored of the academy since it had nothing left to teach him.

When he turned eighteen he left the academy in search for a new place to conduct his studies where more qualified mages could aid him. His search wasn't long, though. He found out that the most powerful mage of the Empire served directly under the emperor as the court mage. Thrilled with the idea of a powerful sage, he joined the army so that he could climb ranks in order to get to speak to the sage.

After five years of hard work and dedication, he was admitted into the royal guard and transfered to Syrendille where he would meet Severus Blackbeard, the court mage. Damocles became a pupil to Severus and they both research on the powers of ancient magic together for years.

When Severus died he took his place as the court mage and has acted as such since.

During the Throne War, Damocles sided with the prince and helped take down Vortigern. After the battle had ended he and Leander asked for a monument to their MIA companions to be sculpted. He is known to transit the statues often and leave offerings.
