Hinokoku
Hinokoku is a closed-up nation ruled by an emperor. The emperor at the time of the Nation's Crumbling made a decree to close the borders and allow no one in. People can leave, but if they do they are not allowed back into the country. The nation has been closed ever since the decree was approved and since then no one has known anything about the country.
When citizens of the empire manage to leave the country they are seen as weird by all people from other nations for their customs and mannerisms. A quirk that sets them apart from others is their prowess in martial combat. Their weapons are different from those of other nations as well as their combat styles. This allows them to take the enemy by surprise and beat them with ease.
Hinokians are very polite people that speak in a dignified way. They address people with respect and expect the same in return. They value honor and their land over all and most of them would rather die than lose their dignity or tilt their moral compass.
Structure
- Mikado. The Mikado is the ruler of Hinokoku. Their orders are absolute and the empires forces are under their control. However, in reality the Mikado is no more than a figurehead used as a symbol.
- Shogun. The highest millitary authority in the country. They are the person that actually rules the empire. They plan out the wars and manage the resources of the empire.
- Daimyo. Daimyos serve under the orders of the shogun and rule over their own portions of land.
- Samurai. Samurai are the common soldier of the land that fight the wars and protect the citizens of the empire.
- Peasants. The working class and the most prominent group in the country. They work the land of the Daimyos and are allowed to live in them in exchange of tribute.
Public Agenda
Hinokoku closed it's doors to outsiders after the Magna Bellis to protect the empire from being dragged into this kind of horrible conflict again. This confinement was hardened by the current Mikado, Ayato Nobara, after people fled the country and came back in order to overthrow him. He became paranoid and ordered the execution of any who dared leave the land. For this task, he created a special force called "Chikage" that tracks down and ends those who flee.
Assets
Hinokoku is an exuberant land, rich on natural product as well as in common metals and ores. Nevertheless, this land is devoid of any rare precious metals. Due to this, their magic items are short stocked and highly valued.
Troops aren't a problem either for the nation of fire. During the Magna Bellis, they were able to fend off all assailants of their lands using the advantegeous positioning of their land and well-devised strategies. These factors along with the efficient and unique training of their troops made them enough of a threat to be able to close their frontiers without any complaints.
