Mairwen (a.k.a. The Calamity Bringer)

Mairwen was a fire magic practioner who tried a spell too powerful for her to control. The spell went out of her control and it opened a portal to Avernus, the first layer of the nine hells. Demons and devils flodded out of the gate and transformed Dremaria in what is now known as Fireskull.
