Personal history

Born as the second child is an overly large Mapach family Clyde has always had reason to be upset. His siblings seem to have gotten all the attention leaving him to study or learn things on his own. Heck his family even forgot to buy him a ticket to the carnival when he was 6. Of course his family enrolled him in activities to try and get him out and touching grass - one of those was scout camp. At 7 years old Clydes life was put on the path he currently walks. When attempting to earn his Fire Safety Merit badge Clyde embarrassed himself by being the first and inly scout unable to light a simple fire. Another Mapach named Eugene, a bully, was the most pleased to see Clyde fail so and to this day always brings up the story. Since then - Clyde hasn't smiled. Instead content on being a grump and spreading his grumpiness. He over compensated his failings by learning to make even bigger and more painful fires. Spending his life trying to teach the many younger generations of his family the knowledge he's acquired and gathering more odd learnings, he's become very perceptive and wise in his own way, but his grumpy exterior has driven away any close personal friendships. Instead only left with rivalries, much like Eugene who was apparently naturally gifted with magic as well as excelling as a scout.

Clyde has spent most of his life being grumpy and learning. Ever since the incident at the scouts camping trip when he was 7 his disposition has never improved.
