Darkwood

This rare wood only found in the Crimson Glade or the Darkmoon Forest is as hard as stone but lighter than other wood. Any object that can be made from darkwood weighs only half as much as a normal wooden item of that type. Darkwood is exceptionally light and buoyant.
Darkwood trees themselves are exceptionally resistant to fire and are typically the only trees left standing after a forest fire. Thus, most buildings and items crafted using Darkwood are almost fire resistant.
