The Great Maker

In the primordial days of creation, the dwarven race was forged by the Great Maker, a deity who shaped the very essence of their being. As the dwarves emerged from the depths of the earth, each god bestowed their blessings upon them. The Great Maker, with his passion for the forge and the ardent belief in the virtues of duty and integrity, became the patron god of the dwarves.   As the ages passed, his influence on the dwarves endured. Temples and grand halls were erected in his honor, where dwarves gathered to pay homage, seek guidance, and find inspiration in the radiant glow of his divine forge.   The legacy of The Great Maker, the Divine Blacksmith, continues to live on in the hearts and souls of the dwarves. For as long as they uphold the Edicts set forth by their benevolent god, the dwarven race stands united, bound by honor, skilled in craftsmanship, and driven by a selfless dedication to serve and protect one another.

Realms of Influence

It is believed that in his divine realm a majestic forge sits at the heart of the tallest mountain, where fiery molten metal flowes like rivers, and anvils thunder with each divine strike of his hammer. Here, the Maker spent eternity perfecting his craftsmanship and shaping the destiny of the dwarven race.   Though The Great Maker resides in the realm of the gods, he remains ever watchful over his people. In times of peril, he is said to send visions to the most worthy of his followers, guiding them to avert disasters and preserving the prosperity of the dwarven kingdoms.

Belief and Edicts

Yet, it was not only his skill at the forge that endeared to his people; it was his unwavering commitment to the Edicts that he had established for the dwarves to follow:   1. Be Honorable and Forthright: The Maker taught that honesty and integrity were the foundation of dwarven society. A dwarf's word was their bond, and to break it was an unthinkable offense. Through leading by example, he instilled a strong sense of accountability in the hearts of his people.   2. Keep Your Word: Oaths and promises held immense power among the dwarves. The Maker impressed upon them the importance of upholding their commitments, be they made to fellow dwarves or even to the gods themselves. For to break an oath was to fracture the very core of their identity.   3. Respect the Forge: The forge was a sacred place to the dwarves, and it was there that they felt closest to their god. The Maker taught them to revere the forge not merely as a source of craftsmanship but as a conduit for spiritual connection and divine inspiration.   4. Serve Your People: Above all, The Maker's teachings emphasized the spirit of selflessness and devotion to one's community. Dwarves were encouraged to use their talents and skills not for personal gain but to uplift and strengthen the entire dwarven race.
