Treskotis Republic

Neutral nation in the ongoing war Recent death of the heirless widower king has left the country in a state of relative unrest. But none believe anything as serious as civil war will come of this, though there is a clear divide forming among the populous. 
Parlamists believe the current members of parliament should gain political control over the regions they already represent, while maintaining their positions as parliament representatives, and remove the monarchy altogether. This would effectively leave the country as an alliance of independent states. Their opposition argue this makes them all more vulnerable to an attack from Pyre Glaa, though they've never taken aggressive action in the past, as well as the Devil of the Mountain's forces.
Loyalists support a cousin of the King as the new leader and wish to join the Endless war supporting Pyre Glaa as official allies. This cousin is currently a minor lord in the north near the Pyre Glaa border and makes his wealth selling ore, mostly iron but trace orichalcum, to the Pyre Glaa government. 
New Treskotins, as they call themselves, are a group that follows an especially charismatic veteran that fought on the dead bridge against the Devil of the mountain's forces. Their leader, Krest, believes more resources need to be spent trying to push back, and ideally kill all of, the Devil's armies, allowing for Treskotis to prosper in a new age of peace. While he is quickly amassing followers and has shown to be well versed in politics, he's never been in a military command position. As he proposes to lead the New Treskotin armies himself much of his opposition believes this makes him rather deluded.
