Inquisitor Mask
A part of Netherese folklore and myth, most Netherese citizens think of these items as beloging purelky in myth and folklore. At the time of just prior to the Fall of Netheril in the primary timeline, Karsus recovered the knowledge of the creation and attunment of these masks, and it became a badge of rank for the Inquisitors, the amalgamation of cleric and priests that serve Karsus in his attempt at complete control and ascention to Godhood.
The masks alter their owners's voice to be more menacing and feral, granting advantage on Charisma (Intimidation) checks, and they serve as a holy symbol and spellcasting focus. Male inquisitors favor masks carved to resemble (or actually made from) bear skulls, while female inquisitors prefer ones that look more like heavily-decorated masquerade masks. The mask grants its wearer advantage on saving throws against being charmed by effects or spells such as dominate person. Upon death. the masks absorb the soul of the owner of the mask, who remains sentiant, albeit immovile, within the mask. A soul in a mask can perform all actions it did in life that do not require a physical body.
