The Shadows of the South
The Shadows of the South is a thieves guild based in the southern part of the City of Yidranna. As Yidranna is a huge city, there are a number of guilds operating there. The Shadows of the South are allied with the Seven Silent Fingers guild. The two of them combined recently to decimate another guild, the Brotherhood of the Long Night. That guild was working for Hussein, the uncle of the current sultan of Yidranna, who was scheming with many people to usurp his nephew. The conflict was long and protracted, but it ended with the Brotherhood in tatters and the Shadows of the South and the Seven Silent Fingers being the only guilds operating in the southern part of the city. The Shadows are also now employed by Abdul, the uncle of Sultan Adok el bin Deh and his prime minister.
The Shadows of the South are led by the Dark Lady, a mysterious figure. All that you really know about her is that she was once an adventurer and a companion of Karina, High Priestess of Diarth. She rules the guild with a gloved fist, but is relentless in using the talent at hand. The recent unrest in the city showed her a new wealth of talent, enough that she decided to establish a satellite (franchise is probably a better word) guild far to the east in. Narvik. Her operations chief in Yidranna is Rafe (Raifer), an accomplished burglar and con man. The leader of the branch in Narvik is Bill, a priest of the Lady of Secrets.
Of late, the Shadows have payed more attention to controlling legitimate businesses, and setting up partnerships with legitimate merchant houses. This has put something of a strain on their people, so they are actively recruiting members.
