Samuel “Bones” Larsen

Samuel “Bones” Larsen was raised in a middle-class family until just after his thirteenth birthday when a car accident killed both of his parents. Samuel was in the backseat of the vehicle and was also seriously injured.   After spending months in a coma, Samuel regained consciousness to discover that he had 32 broken bones from a car accident on the expressway and that his parents were killed instantly in the same accident.   The hospital staff, therapists, and physicians all banded together to encourage Samuel to complete the physical therapies and to recover, nicknaming him “Bones” in the years it took for him to fully regain his ability to walk. Samuel was in and out of the hospital almost every week (and in and out of foster homes).   Though many foster families tried to help him, the loss trauma of parents’ death and his injuries drove him into anti-social behavior and, ultimately, criminal mischief. Without strong guidance, Samuel found his identity in a local street gang. The persistence he learned while recovery from the accident helped him rise quickly in the gang and to become their most feared leader.   Soon, Samuel “Bones” Larsen was known as “Bones” not for recovering from his accident, but from the bones he’d break from those who opposed him.   Bones learned how to operate quietly in Millennium City, exerting influence over criminal organizations while also maintaining a respectable image among industry groups. After enough black-market transactions occurred in (and stolen goods were stored in) warehouses without much legitimate cover, Samuel began to purchase warehouses and various manufacturing companies, receiving ‘honorarium’ for allowing them to conduct business in his facilities.   Samuel quickly realized that his warehouses could become a “cover” for criminal transactions and used by their organizations regularly for nominal fees. He quickly became an intermediary for criminal organizations, “renting” out warehouses for storage of black market goods and other criminal transactions.   After the Vanishing eliminated some of the most powerful villains who threatened Dr. Destroyer’s regime (and some of his most profitable clients), Samuel began to petition VIPER for an opportunity to increase his role in Millennium City.   Samuel “Bones” Larson was approved by the Council of Thirty two years ago as a Satellite Nest Leader for a location just south of Millennium City. Larsen was able to purchase the Zug Island Industrial Complex and has secretly completed phase one of the Underground Nest construction on the island.

Quiet, but calculatingly deadly. Industrious and entrepreneurial “middle man” for the criminal organizations in Millennium City — now an aspiring VIPER Satellite Nest Leader.
